Marg's Rum Cake
This is a great recipe!
Mix
together:
1 box (18 1/2 oz)
Duncan Hines Yellow Butter cake mix (or any yellow butter cake
mix)
1/2 cup light
rum
1/2 cup vegetable
oil
1/2 cup
water
4 eggs, added one at a
time
1 cup chopped pecans
(optional)
Bake in greased and
floured Bundt pan at 325 degrees for 50-60 minutes. During the last few minutes
of baking, prepare the
glaze.
Glaze:
Bring
to boil...
1 stick
butter
1 cup
sugar
1/4 cup light
rum
1/4 cup
water
Boil for 2 minutes. Remove
cake from oven and pour glaze slowly over it immediately. The cake will soak up
the glaze. Let cool in pan for 30 minutes. Remove from pan.
